Sequoia Grill Restaurant - Stanley Park

Well here I am blogging -
Been feeling like there was something I needed to do, and there it came to me as I watched the sun decending into the pacific ocean - I need to tell people about the cool/amazing things that I see on a day to day basis.

Today I had the opportunity to gobble down a fantastic meal in an amazing setting. Nestled in a corner of Stanley Park, at Ferguson Point, right before you hit Third Beach is a cute little restaurant marked by a single Sequoia Tree at the entrance.

We were greeted by a very friendly hostess - and got a window seat at the front of the house with a view that rivals the bow of a cruise ship.

Our server arrived, not your usual upscale Vancouver restaurant waitress either, more like a backpacker type with a zest for food and life, and superior customer service skills! We ordered a nice white wine, and some appy's, cause we weren't in the mood for an Entree which included Lamb, Chicken and of course, west coast seafood.

We ordered the warm goat cheese salad which was served with warm bread (included with the meal, and as much as you want) which was flavorful and served with micro greens.

Next came the seafood stuffed mushroom caps which were a real delight - and cooked to perfection.

The final and most delicious was the thai inspired squid, which were drizzled in a spicy red chilli and peanut sauce and left your mouth watering for more (watering right now!)

The prices were comparable to any other upscalish restaurants (the Boathouse) but the service and the view kicked those places out of (or into) the water!

I highly reccomend this restaurant which is available for private functions and highly recomend the server Jackie -

It would be a really great place to have a wedding. See pics at bottom of page (a room with a view) and at the top right corner (the drawing room).

That's it for today, thanks for reading my blogalicious blog.
